LA: Tech Firm CGI Seeks to Fill 160 New Professional Jobs in Louisiana

Feb 06, 2020
Global technology firm CGI will conduct a career fair on Tuesday, Feb. 11, in Lafayette to fill professional positions for the company’s Louisiana operations.  In June 2018, CGI announced a significant expansion of its Lafayette-based U.S. Delivery Center and the creation of 400 new direct jobs that will bring total company employment in Louisiana to 800.

The career fair will take place from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Research Park, where CGI operates a major IT delivery center. LED FastStart® – the nation’s top-ranked state workforce development program – is supporting the event at 538 Cajundome Blvd. in Lafayette.

CGI seeks both entry level and experienced IT professionals to fill up to 160 positions in Louisiana, including the following roles: business analyst and reporting, database engineer, DevOps engineer, software engineer, operations support roles, and developers and architects for multiple languages and platforms.

Specifically, CGI seeks more than 70 new college recruits available for employment by this summer. Soon-to-graduate college students and recent college graduates are encouraged to attend. More than 80 additional professionals are being sought for technology positions that are currently open, as well as cybersecurity positions that will be filled later this year.

Interested applicants may apply in person, and they may submit their résumés and pre-register at CGICareerFair2020.eventbrite.com. The event is open to the public and will include opportunities to learn about the company and to speak with CGI representatives.

Interviews will take place on-site for qualified candidates. Attendees are asked to dress professionally and to bring copies of their résumés.
