
On Aug. 14, Trader Joe’s will open a new store in New Orleans. This 9683 sq. ft. store will be the third Trader Joe’s in Louisiana. Moments before doors open at 9 a.m., there will be a brief ribbon cutting. Store Captain Rachelle Haddad-Martinez and Trader Joe’s Crew Members will be on hand to welcome customers to their new neighborhood store.
As a neighborhood grocery store, Trader Joe’s shares it prides itself on hiring from the local community. The store will hire 80 new crew members from surrounding areas and transfer in others from neighboring Trader Joe’s stores. Anyone interested in applying can visit www.traderjoes.com/careers.

In addition, through the company’s longstanding Neighborhood Shares Program, the new Louisiana Trader Joe’s will donate 100% of products that go unsold but remain fit to enjoy to a range of non-profit, community-based organizations, seven days a week.
