MD: Global Aerospace Firm ST Engineering MRAS Expands in Middle River, to Hire 150+

Jan 27, 2026

A major aerospace manufacturer is expanding and hiring more than 150 new workers in Middle River.

Governor Wes Moore recently visited the ST Engineering MRAS production facility, a subsidiary of the Singapore-based ST Engineering, to underscore the state’s support of its 1,200 employees. The company is working to increase its footprint with new engineering, quality assurance, finance, and manufacturing positions to accommodate continued business growth.

ST Engineering MRAS is a world leading manufacturer of complex components for aircraft bodies, including nacelle systems—the aerodynamic housings around aircraft engines. Leveraging its advanced composites expertise, MRAS supplies these products to airplane and engine manufacturers while supporting a flying fleet across the globe.

This visit follows Governor Moore’s productive meeting with ST Engineering executives and a Singapore delegation at the SelectUSA Investment Summit in May, where the governor was formally invited to tour the facility.

The company is one of more than 9,000 companies in Maryland’s growing aerospace and aviation sector, and the nearly 2 million square-foot MRAS facility has almost a century of history in aviation manufacturing. ST Engineering has demonstrated its long-term investment in Maryland by committing hundreds of millions of dollars in upgrades and automation since acquiring the space from General Electric in 2019.
