RF Valves Inc. recently opened its new, expanded facility in Hanover, Md., marking a new chapter for the industrial valve manufacturer, which has posted double-digit growth for four consecutive years.
The new Hanover space increases RF Valves’ footprint by about 40 percent compared with its previous location and consolidates workspace, warehouse, and logistics operations under one roof. The facility now stocks more than 3,200 SKUs, supporting customers across a wide range of industrial and municipal applications.
“I’m so proud to be able to create jobs while designing and manufacturing innovative engineering solutions for our clients on site right here in Hanover, Maryland,” said Danilo Garcia, president of RF Valves Inc. “For more than 30 years our engineers have been solving complex challenges across many industries and municipal applications, with our valves playing a vital role in critical infrastructure around the globe.”
RF Valves products are used by clients such as Georgia Pacific, Constellation Energy, DC Water, and major mining companies including Anglo American, BHP, Grupo Mexico, Codelco, and Freeport-McMoRan in Arizona. The company’s valves also serve high-profile projects like the Carlsbad Desalination Plant in California and the soon-to-open Gordie Howe International Bridge.
Speakers at the ribbon cutting highlighted both the company’s global reach and its role in the regional economy. RF Valves was acquired in 2010 by DFC Water, the largest valve manufacturer in Africa, and maintains close ties to South Africa and Finland, where the company was originally founded alongside its Maryland base in 1993.
Mr. Ismail Esau, chargé d’affaires for South Africa, and Ulla Lainio, commercial counselor for the Embassy of Finland, offered congratulations and underscored their countries’ connection to RF Valves’ success.
Maryland State Delegate Mike Rogers, Anne Arundel County Councilman Peter Smith, and Jessica Klaitman, representing U.S. Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s office, also delivered remarks. Van Hollen’s office presented a citation recognizing RF Valves’ contribution to job creation, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects in Maryland and around the world.
