Cardinal Health Locating Distribution Facility in Olive Branch, Mississippi Cardinal Health, a global provider of products and services that improve the safety and productivity of health care, has announced plans to relocate a medical-surgical distribution facility in Olive Branch, Miss., late this summer, bringing approximately 60 jobs to the area. Cardinal Health is relocating to ProLogis Park DeSoto, a recently constructed 860,000-square-foot distribution facility in Olive Branch. The company will lease approximately 211,000 square feet of space from ProLogis, a leading global provider of distribution facilities. From this facility, Cardinal Health will distribute medical and surgical products to hospitals, clinical laboratories, ambulatory facilities and physician offices across northern Mississippi, western Tennessee and the entire state of Arkansas. “We welcome Cardinal Health’s decision to do business here in Mississippi,” Governor Haley Barbour said. “Companies increasingly are taking advantage of Mississippi as a regional distribution hub because of our excellent business climate and dedicated workforce. We are proud this Fortune 20 company has chosen to locate its facility here.” Bob Randklev, Cardinal Health’s senior vice president of warehouse and distribution for the South Region, said, “We established a strong partnership with the Mississippi Development Authority as we outgrew the space at our former facility. Our new location is central to the areas of Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas that we serve and provides us the opportunity for growth that we need.” Jeremy Giles, senior vice president and southeast regional director for ProLogis, said, “Cardinal Health is a valued customer and we are pleased to expand our relationship with the company in northern Mississippi. Cardinal Health now leases just under one million square feet from ProLogis in five locations throughout the United States.” “We are pleased to have worked with Cardinal Health on this project,” said Gray Swoope, executive director of the Mississippi Development Authority. “Once again, the Momentum Mississippi incentives passed in 2005 have enabled Mississippi and Olive Branch to add new jobs.” “The City of Olive Branch welcomes Cardinal Health to our community and thanks them for choosing Olive Branch as their new home,” Olive Branch Mayor Sam Rikard said. “I look forward to working together with them as we strive to make Olive Branch an even better place to live, work, and play.” Headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, Cardinal Health, Inc.
