BJ’s Wholesale Club is opening its first location of the new year, in Commack, N.Y. The new store will be BJ's 224th U.S. location, and 12th on New York's Long Island.
In May, BJ’s said it was accelerating its growth across the Eastern United States, with plans to open six stores by the end of its current fiscal year (Feb. 1., 2022), reports Chain Store Age. In addition to Commack, the locations include Seabrook, N.H., Port Charlotte, Fla., South Fayette, Pa., Ross Township, Pa., and Lansing, Mich. The locations in the greater Pittsburgh area and in Lansing, Mich., are both new markets for the retailer.
Headquartered in Westborough, Mass., BJ's Wholesale Club also operates 154 BJ's Gas locations in 17 states.
