NC: CT Commercial Paper to Expand Stanly County Facility, Creating 8 New Jobs in Oakboro

Founded in 1999, CT Commercial Paper operates three facilities in Stanly County, and plans to invest over $1,500,000 in machinery and equipment and create eight (8) new jobs at its South Main Street location in Oakboro. 

CT Commercial Paper Company, LLC, a full-service tissue and towel converter, announced it will be expanding its production operation in Stanly County. Founded in 1999, CT Commercial Paper operates three facilities in Stanly County, and plans to invest over $1,500,000 in machinery and equipment and create eight (8) new jobs at its South Main Street location in Oakboro. 

CT Commercial Paper Company President Kat Palm stated, "We are honored and excited to work with Stanly County and the Town of Oakboro on this new project. We are deeply rooted in our community and want to see it grow and prosper. It is a big step for us, and we are looking forward to bringing this additional $1.5 million investment to our community.”       

The Stanly County Economic Development Commission and Stanly County Board of Commissioners extend their gratitude to the Town of Oakboro for their partnership and existing industry support. Stanly County and the Town of Oakboro approved tax-based business development grants on Monday, April 3 and Monday, April 17 to induce the new investment and job creation.  

Oakboro Mayor Chris Huneycutt stated, “It is the Board of Commissioners' intent to use the resources we have at our disposal to continue the economic growth we are experiencing today. The Town of Oakboro is committed to improving the lives of our citizens by supporting career opportunities for the residents and local community. Through retaining successful businesses, like CT Commercial paper, this keeps our community moving forward for the future. We are excited for what is in store for the Town of Oakboro.”
