OH: Patt-McDaniel Announces Expansion Projects to Create and Retain More Than 1,260 Jobs

Projects Invigorate Regional Economies, Generate Jobs for Ohioans

The State Controlling Board recently approved grants administered by the Ohio Department of Development, which are expected to create 520 jobs and retain 743 positions. Four Ohio businesses will receive $374,000 in economic development grants to aid economic growth, leveraging more than $26.1 million in additional investment in Ohio.

"We are proud to partner with these companies and create job opportunities for Ohioans," said Lisa Patt-McDaniel, Director of the Ohio Department of Development. "Year after year, Ohio leads the nation in business expansion due to our strong workforce, world-class industry access, and pro-business climate."

BTMC Corporation will receive a $60,000 Rapid Outreach Grant for the costs associated with the acquisition of new machinery and equipment in support of the company's expansion project in the City of Columbus (Franklin County). BTMC is a small business enterprise engaged in servicing the Federal Government's military service parts and typically in contracts ranging from five to 10 years with defined termination dates. The $3.6 million project is expected to create 120 jobs and retain 27 positions.

Creative Extruded Products, Inc. will receive a $34,000 Rapid Outreach Grant for the costs associated with the acquisition of new machinery and equipment in support of the company's expansion project in Tipp City (Miami County). In addition, the company will expand capacity and capability to manufacture two new product lines that will include a window molding system for the 2011 Toyota Camry and weather seals for the residential and construction industries. Founded in 1979, Creative Extruded Products is a custom plastic profile extrusion company working with customers from prototype, to product development and production. The more than $1.4 million project is expected to create 34 jobs and retain 154 positions.

FlyMuch, Inc. will receive a $30,000 Rapid Outreach Grant for the costs associated with the acquisition of new machinery and equipment in support of the company's project in the City of Dublin (Franklin County). In addition, the company will lease office space to support its headquarters and software development of it's new travel intelligence website and interface. FlyMuch is a new company that monitors travel promotions, integrates search criteria and personal account information, and delivers the relevant information needed to make beneficial loyalty decisions through a free online application. The more than $1.1 million project is expected to create 30 jobs.

The Procter & Gamble Company will receive a $250,000 Rapid Outreach Grant for the costs associated with on-site infrastructure costs to support the company's consolidation project in the City of Cincinnati (Hamilton County). In addition, the company will consolidate business planning activities, currently performed in more than 30 locations, into a single planning center to develop and maintain more skilled resources and improve efficiency. Procter & Gamble was founded in 1837 and is widely credited for the conceptual development of brand management, currently boasting brands including Bounty, Crest, Downy, Gillette, Old Spice, Puffs, Vicks, and more. The company is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol PG. The $20 million project is expected to create 336 jobs and retain 562 positions.

The Rapid Outreach Grant is a grant program to assist companies and communities that are creating or retaining jobs in Ohio.
