With five new stores slated to open over the next two months, Sprouts Farmers Market is looking to hire 437 employees, as the grocer continues its march to opening 35 new stores this year.
In October, the grocer will open new stores in Mount Juliet, Tenn.; Yuma, Ariz.; and Longview, Texas. New stores in Bountiful, Utah, and Hacienda Heights, Calif., are slated to open in November. The company opened its most recent new store in Providence Village, Texas, last week.
Progressive Grocer reports that Sprouts recently posted $2.2 billion in net sales, marking a 17 percent Q2 year-over-year increase.
“Sprouts Farmers Market will be a wonderful addition to our community, and we look forward to welcoming them to Providence Village,” said Linda Inman, mayor of the town of Providence Village. “Their new location at Providence Village will provide fresh, healthy food options; create local jobs; and offer a welcoming place for neighbors to gather and shop. Sprouts’ commitment to supporting communities aligns perfectly with the spirit and character of Providence Village and its residents.”
Phoenix-based Sprouts is projected to open at least 35 new stores during 2025. The company employs approximately 35,000 associates and operates more than 450 stores in 24 states nationwide.
