TX: Electronics Giant Samsung to Relocate U.S Headquarters to Plano, Moving 1,000 Jobs

Jun 05, 2026

Electronics giant Samsung is relocating its U.S. headquarters to Plano, Texas, from New Jersey. The move is expected to bring with it about 1,000 relocated jobs.

“Samsung Electronics America Inc. is undergoing a business transformation designed to better position our organization for long-term growth and future success,” the company said in a statement. “As part of this effort, we are relocating our U.S. headquarters from New Jersey to our existing campus in Plano, Texas, building on our 30-year presence in the state.”

Samsung said the transition will be completed “by the end of the year,” and aims to strengthen alignment across teams and offices while sharpening the company’s focus “on the areas that will drive the greatest impact for our customers, partners, and business,": reports Dallas Innovates.

Samsung’s new U.S. headquarters will be located at its existing Plano campus, which was opened in 2019 in Plano’s Legacy Central business park. “This move not only provides us with an opportunity to create an improved workplace experience for our Texas-based employees, but truly showcases our continued investment in our Texas roots,” the company said at the time.

In 2023, the company opened a Samsung Networks Innovation Center at its Plano campus.
