Stewart Golf, the electric and push golf cart manufacturer, has opened its first U.S. customer care center in Houston, TX, for inquiries, servicing and repairs.

Stewart Golf, the electric and push golf cart manufacturer, has opened its first U.S. customer care center in Houston, TX, for inquiries, servicing and repairs, reports SGB Media.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer dedicated customer care and servicing to our U.S. customers,” said CEO Mark Stewart, who opened the center with Stewart Golf Co-Founder David Funnell and Chairman Ross Stewart. “Next to creating world-class golf caddies, looking after our customers is the most important thing we do,” said Stewart. “Our team even changed their name from ‘customer services’ to ‘customer care’ to reflect how we think about this.”

U.S. employees worked at Stewart’s U.K. headquarters and factory for a week in the Cotswolds to prepare for the center’s opening. Stewart Golf said U.K. employees would frequently visit the Houston center to ensure the two facilities share the same vision, culture and commitment to customer service.

Stewart Golf also upgraded its distribution capabilities by opening a new shipping center in Nevada, intended to reduce wait times “by more than 90 percent for U.S. customers.

Stewart Golf was founded in the U.K. in 2003. The company is listed among the 100 fastest-growing private U.K. companies by the London Sunday Times.

“As well as a strong business in the U.K., we export to more than 40 countries globally,” Stewart added. “The U.S. is the biggest golf market in the world and our single largest. Many U.S. golfers like to ride, but there are a huge number of walkers and many more who we think of as ‘walking curious.’
