JPMorganChase announced a significant expansion of its presence in Salt Lake City by adding over 10,000 square feet to its existing footprint of 22,000 square feet - a nearly 50% increase. The office is located at 201 South Main Street in the city’s vibrant Mainstreet corridor. The 12th and 13th floor office space, which can seat up to 140 people, will house employees from the firm’s Commercial Banking, Private Banking, and Business Banking businesses. The move comes as the firm recently celebrated over 100 years of helping Utah and its communities grow.
In addition, J.P. Morgan Private Bank has introduced a state-of-the-art Client Center designed to serve the unique needs of the bank’s high-net-worth clients across the region. This dedicated space is designed to host clients and their families for personal wealth discussions, curated events, and business meetings.
Since establishing the Private Bank in Salt Lake City in 2018, the office has grown at a robust pace, now overseeing more than $9.5 billion in client assets. The local team has expanded significantly, with employee headcount up 32% since 2022 and plans to grow by another 30% by 2029. Driving this success are local advisors who deliver the access and resources of J.P. Morgan’s global platform, along with tailored financial advice and planning, helping wealthy clients and their families define and maintain their legacy.
“As a long-time resident of Salt Lake City, I take great pride in JPMorganChase’s bolstered investment in this vibrant and growing market,” said Danielle Wright, Utah Market Manager at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. “Our expanded presence highlights the rising demand for our services and reinforces our commitment to providing Utah families with a bespoke wealth management experience, tailored to their unique needs and aspirations.”
Since opening its first Commercial and Private Banking offices in Salt Lake City in 2010, the firm has hired top local talent to serve the rapidly growing business community throughout Utah, with a particular focus on delivering tailored solutions for businesses that make up the middle market ecosystem across a variety of industries. The firm announced this past summer the expansion of its commercial banking business with the appointment of John Shane to Region Manager of Utah for Commercial Banking business. Shane will be responsible for leading a team of commercial bankers to serve local middle market businesses, providing holistic banking and finance solutions for every stage of growth – from working capital management and digital payments, and offering international banking services.

The client center grabs viewers’ attention with backlit stone with a landscape view beyond, both displaying the concepts attention to visual texture and the layering of rocks. The design reflects an immersive experience of a city in motion, of industrious people shaping the city over time in an environment rich in color with stratified texture and movement.
