Accurate Fabrication, a Hartford, Conn.-based metal fabrication and industrial manufacturing company, is expanding into a new facility in the Germantown Gateway Corporate Park in Germantown, Wis.
Accurate Fabrication is a manufacturer that provides comprehensive processing, laser cutting, metal forming, and assembly services for various industries with the intent of repeatable precision at higher volume, resulting in less manual handling between operations, tighter process control and the throughput to support customer growth programs.
The company says the facility will occupy 102,000 square feet at the corporate park. The new plant will utilize new technology and automation across the full process chain: cutting, bending, welding, finishing, and assembly, reports the Waukesha County Freeman
"Our Hartford team has built a strong operation," said CEO Eric Walak in a recent statement, who added it is being added to the new location. He said the facility adds room, "room to put new technology and automation to work, and to design the work cells around flow from day one."
Accurate Fabrication will add more than 65 team members across the new operation in a number of different fields over the next six months. The business also noted that the Richfield facility will operate on three shifts, built around a compressed week. Monday through Thursday with two 10hour shifts, and Friday through Sunday with one 12-hour day shift.
"Our customers are growing, and our job is to grow with them," said Walak. "This expansion is about having the capacity and the capability in place to support their programs as they scale — not asking them to wait while we catch up."
The business partnered with Economic Development Washington County and the local community to bring this expansion from the planning stages to a prospective eventual reality, and thanked the groups that have brought the project this far. According to the business, that support is important to facilitating the significant upfront capital investment required to maximize this expansion’s opportunity with the addition of new technology and automation.
"Projects like this don’t happen because one company decides to grow. They happen because a community decides to grow with you," said Walak. "The partnership we’ve had with Germantown, EDWC and Zilber and their continued efforts to jointly bring a village- county package across the finish line allows us to be this aggressive on the equipment side."
