WI: Redline Plastics Expands Wisconsin Operations, to Create 44 Jobs

24 Jan, 2020

Redline Plastics has expanded its Manitowoc presence with a new 117,500-square-foot manufacturing facility that more than doubles the size of the company’s operations. The expansion, which will allow Redline to better position itself for future growth, is expected to create 44 jobs.

The company broke ground on the facility in March 2019. The new building will house some of the company's production, including rotational molding, vacuum forming and cut-and-sew operations, as well as warehouse space on the ground level and 11,000 square feet of mezzanine office space.

The $12 million project is being supported by WEDC with up to $150,000 in state income tax credits over three years, contingent on the actual number of jobs created and capital invested.

“We are growing our operations in Wisconsin thanks to the great business climate in the state, in addition to the wonderful workforce and abundance of customers in the Midwest,” said Chuck Webster, owner and president of Redline Plastics.

The family-owned company was founded in 1922 as Dow Canvas, a manufacturer of tent and awning products. Today Redline Plastics is a leading manufacturer of rotational molded, vacuum formed and line bent plastics products for a variety of industries, as well as leather and textile products for the power sports industry.
