Project initiated in January 2024 will directly support EV assembly automation.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear congratulated another great Kentucky company on its continued growth as Kinemetrix, a leader in robotic automation and advanced manufacturing solutions, celebrated the ribbon-cutting on its newly expanded manufacturing operation in Lexington, a $4 million investment creating 12 quality jobs.

“Kentucky’s advanced manufacturing industry continues to create new jobs and spark economic growth in communities throughout the state,” said Gov. Beshear. “Today’s ribbon-cutting event is an exciting next step for Kinemetrix here in the commonwealth. This expansion will not only support our growing EV sector; it will also add quality, skilled job opportunities to the Lexington area. I want to thank company leadership for their commitment to the commonwealth and look forward to their continued success.”

Initiated in January 2024, the project saw the company expand its existing manufacturing operation, adopt new precision manufacturing equipment and add 12 new high-skilled engineering and technician jobs to its current Lexington facility. The strategic expansion has allowed Kinemetrix to double its capacity and grow revenues by over 50% since 2023 and positions the company for further growth in 2026. The new operational space will allow Kinemetrix to continue supporting the rapidly expanding advanced manufacturing and EV industries of the region.

“Since our last major expansion, we’ve continued quietly building strong internal teams and an array of next-generation robotic assembly technology,” said Jim Peyton, president of Kinemetrix. “It’s now time to move to the next level of scale. We’re growing along with our market-leading customers and building additional capacity to serve the accelerating manufacturing growth in our region.”

Founded in 1995, Kinemetrix is a leader in robotic automation and advanced manufacturing solutions, committed to innovation and lean manufacturing principles. The company currently employs 43 Kentuckians at its headquarters in Lexington.

Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton congratulated the company: “We work hard to help create an environment that supports our local business community and job growth. Congratulations to Kinemetrix, a Lexington success story.”

Commerce Lexington President and CEO Bob Quick noted the company’s long-standing success: “We are so excited to celebrate this special occasion for Kinemetrix. Since 1995, Kinemetrix has provided advanced automation solutions focused on helping companies enhance operational efficiency on their production floor. Its design process increases uptime, which in turn maximizes productivity and strengthens the economy across our region and the commonwealth. We are honored that Kinemetrix calls Lexington home, and we appreciate its investment here.”
