NM: Four Films in Production in New Mexico, Employing Hundreds

The New Mexico Film Office announced four feature films being produced in New Mexico.
 
Canyon Del Muerto: Canyon Del Muerto, a film produced by First Line Films, LLC, will be shot in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Farmington, and Gallup this fall and winter 2020.
 
Canyon Del Muerto is directed by Coerte Voorhees (The First Line) and produced by Coerte Voorhees, John Voorhees, and Jake Pokluda.
 
The production will employ approximately 120 New Mexico crew members, 25 principal New Mexico actors and 200 New Mexico background talent.
 
Canyon Del Muerto, starring Abigail Lawrie (Tin Star) and Tom Felton (Harry Potter), is the true story of America's first female archaeologist.

Captive: Captive, an independent feature film produced by Pollen Path Entertainment has completed filming in Albuquerque, this past October 2020.
 
Directed by Gregg Simon and produced by Tom Stajmiger, Pablo Francisco, Thomas Choisnet, Tamas Nadas, Jim Bors, and Leigh Riley.
 
The production employed approximately 27 New Mexico crew members, 4 principal New Mexico actors and 15 New Mexico background talent.
 
Captive, starring Scout Taylor Compton (Halloween), Tasie Lawrence (Criminal Minds), Christina Robinson (Dexter), is a vampire horror film in which a group of friends break into a home and unwittingly unleash a killer vampire.

The Commando: The Commando has completed production in New Mexico. Production on the feature film took place in October 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The film is produced by Al Bravo Films and Premiere Entertainment.
 
The Commando is directed by ASIF AKBAR (Smoked Filled Lungs and Morbid Stories) and produced by Al Bravo (Assassin X, Reality Terror Night), Elias Axume (Locked In, Blind Sided), and Robert Dean (The Last Son of Isaac LeMay, The Dead of Night).
 
The Commando, starring Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler, Sin City, Iron Man 2) and Michael Jai White (Black Dynamite, Spawn, The Dark Knight), is the story of a DEA agent with PTSD who returns home after a botched mission and must now protect his family from a home invasion after a newly released prison criminal and his henchmen come after their stash of millions inside of the agent's home.
 
The production employed approximately 35 New Mexico crew members, 7 principal actors, and 15 New Mexico background and extras.

Slayers: Slayers, an independent feature film produced by With Teeth LLC is filming in Albuquerque, this November 2020.
 
Slayers is directed by K. Asher Levin (Alexander IRL, Cougars Inc) and produced by Daniel Cummings (Players, ALT).
 
The production will employ approximately 35 New Mexico crew members and 4 principal New Mexico actors.
 
Slayers, starring Thomas Jane (Deep Blue Sea), Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine), and Malin Ackerman (Watchmen) follows a group of internet influencers who are drawn to a reclusive, seductive billionaire’s mansion, only to find themselves trapped in the lair of an evil vampire. The only way out is to be saved by a famous online gamer and an old school vampire hunter.

All film and television productions in New Mexico are required to adhere to the state’s operative emergency public health order, associated public health restrictions and COVID Safe Practices.
