Since 1970, the Cherokee County Development Board has been working to bring new jobs and investment to benefit the citizens of Cherokee County. The Development Board is a component of a governmental entity with the primary mission of recruiting new business and industry as well as fostering a pro-business environment and assisting those companies that already call Cherokee County home.
Day-to-day operations of the Cherokee County Development Board belong to Director Ken Moon. Moon, who previously served as Deputy Director for nine years, was promoted to the Director’s position in July 2023. Moon serves as the County’s chief economic development recruiter while his Deputy Noah Beason is the existing industry liaison. Since 2015, the team of Ken Moon and Noah Beason have been instrumental in bringing in more than $2 Billion in new investment and creation of more than 4500 jobs.
