Welcome to Rosenberg, Texas.

Rosenberg, Texas is located 25 miles west of Houston, on Interstate 69. At the geographic and logistic heart of Fort Bend County, Rosenberg is in one of the fastest growing and most ethnically diverse counties in the United States.

Workforce development is a priority, with a significant number of local employees taking advantage of the educational opportunities right here in the community through Wharton County Junior College, University of Houston Sugar Land, and the new Texas State Technical College's (TSTC) Fort Bend Campus. In the fall of 2016, TSTC opened the first phase of what will be a 5,000-plus student campus. 

Rosenberg is served by one public school district, the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District (LCISD).  LCISD ranks 7th on the state's fastest-growing school district list as it approaches 43,000 students districtwide. The district received an "A" rating for exemplary performance in the 2021-2022 School Year by the Accountability Rankings from the Texas Education Agency.

The focus of the Economic Development Department is to assist businesses and industries in locating and expanding to Rosenberg.
