Governor Janice K. Brewer

Janice K. Brewer took the oath of office as Governor of Arizona on January 21, 2009, inheriting one of the worst fiscal crises in the nation. With a keen grasp of State budget issues from her past service in the Legislature – including in Senate leadership – Governor Brewer quickly took decisive action to pull Arizona back from the brink and into the black.

By continuing to champion responsible, sound measures aimed at spurring job growth, she has laid a solid foundation for Arizona’s economic comeback.
