Vic Fedeli, Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, was first elected as the MPP for Nipissing in 2011, after serving two terms as mayor of North Bay. He was re-elected to the legislature in 2014 and 2018. Prior to his political career, Minister Fedeli was a successful entrepreneur and business leader. In his 20s, he opened Fedeli Advertising, the first ad agency north of Toronto. In 1989, Fedeli Corporation was named in the Top 50 Best Places to Work in Canada. He sold the firm in 1992 and spent the next 11 years managing several non-profit ventures, including a local development agency that managed a site that now is home to several aerospace companies. In recognition of his many achievements, he was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002 and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.
