North Eastern Strategic Alliance

The North Eastern Strategic Alliance (NESA) is a regional, non-profit economic development organization that serves nine counties—Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion, Marlboro, and Williamsburg—in Northeastern South Carolina. 

Located midway between New York City and Miami along I-95, as well as at the eastern origin of I-20, Northeastern South Carolina is in the middle of everywhere. The region’s extensive infrastructure includes 600+ miles of state and federal highways, 350+ miles of rail, two commercial airports, 14 general aviation airports, and the South Carolina Port Authority’s Inland Port in Dillon. With the lowest union membership rate in the nation and education/training customized to employers, Northeastern South Carolina has the ideal labor climate for manufacturing operations. In addition to its prime location and strong workforce, Northeastern South Carolina cultivates a business-friendly environment. With a cooperative regulatory environment, comprehensive incentives programs, and proactive utility providers, companies can focus on running their operations.

NESA provides regional site selection assistance, extensive economic database access, infrastructure support, workforce training opportunities, and direct connections with county and state partners to help coordinate incentive packages.
